JOOLA Agassi Edge

This paddle combines a carbon fiber face with a 16mm polymer honeycomb core. Its 7.8-ounce weight keeps it manageable, while the thicker core favors control, dwell time, and forgiveness over a fast, poppy response. The 16.5-inch elongated shape adds reach, but the 7.5-inch width gives you less coverage than a wider paddle.

The Agassi shape extends the sweet spot toward the upper edge and corners. Reviewers describe that design as helpful for control, spin, and off-center forgiveness, though one tester reports a low twist weight that costs pace on mishits. The 5.5-inch handle and tennis-inspired feel may also suit players moving from tennis or using a two-handed backhand.

This is a better fit for controlled construction than all-out power. The 16mm core favors dinks, resets, and touch shots at the kitchen, while the elongated face gives you useful reach and leverage on drives from the baseline. Paddle Champion reports high spin and control, while PaddleSpecs characterizes its power and spin as average.

Choose it if you want a balanced transition between soft hands and measured attacking shots. Its light, maneuverable swing weight can help with quick net exchanges, but mishits may lose more pace. Players wanting a very poppy response or maximum premium spin should look elsewhere.
