PROKENNEX Ovation Speed II

The paddle uses an Opti-Cell polymer core and a Toray T700 carbon-fiber face with a seven-layer carbon construction. Its Comfort Pro grip adds cushioning, while the listed 8.47-ounce weight gives it a medium-to-sturdy feel. Buyer reports describe the strike as plush, and reviewers associate the construction with reduced vibration and arm comfort.

At 15.43 inches long and 7.6 inches wide, the modified oval shape puts more mass along the center axis. Product descriptions connect that shape with an expanded sweet spot, efficient energy transfer, and easier maneuverability. The face includes a textured outer layer intended to help generate spin. Weight listings vary, so check the actual version and seller details before buying.

This paddle fits players who want a balanced mix of control, spin, and manageable speed. The Opti-Cell core and carbon face are described as producing a plush, controlled strike rather than a harsh pop. That should appeal to players who value soft hands at the kitchen and confident placement.

The elongated shape supports quick tip speed and efficient energy transfer for drives, while the textured carbon face helps with spin. Its 15.43-inch length gives you more reach than a shorter paddle, though the 7.6-inch width does not provide the broadest possible hitting surface. Players prioritizing maximum power or a very wide sweet spot may prefer another shape.
